Fabric & material options
Body fabric
Specify the body fabric, composition, weight, finish and colour for the intended varsity silhouette. Confirm the selected material through a physical swatch and sample.
Sleeve panels
Define sleeve material, colour and panel layout, including any contrast with the body. Review their appearance and balance in the assembled sample.
Rib trims
Define the collar, cuffs and hem rib, including colours, stripe layout and finished dimensions. Review stretch, recovery and appearance on the sample.
Lining
Specify the lining material and construction for the varsity jacket. Confirm how the lining works with the body, sleeves, pockets and decoration.
Fit & construction
Define the intended varsity silhouette, body length, sleeve proportions and size range. Review the fit and construction on physical samples before confirming the production specification:
- Closure: confirm the fastening type, spacing and reinforcement on the sample.
- Collar: define the rib collar shape, finished dimensions and stripe alignment.
- Pockets: specify opening dimensions, placement, pocket bags and reinforcement.
- Cuffs & hem: review rib dimensions, stripe layout, stretch and recovery on the sample.
- Seams & finishing: topstitch, bound seams, bartacks and clean internal finishing.
Decoration & trims
Define lettering and artwork materials, dimensions and placement for embroidery, appliqué, patches or print. Review appearance, attachment and compatibility with the chosen fabric and lining on a physical sample. Confirm fastening details, woven main labels, printed care labels and hangtags in the approved specification.
