How we make your shorts
Custom shorts development, from tech pack to bulk
Shorts are judged by fabric, fit and how the waistband, inseam and pockets sit. We treat each style as a developed product, not a catalogue pick: fabric direction, pattern and grading, waistband and pocket construction, inseam length, decoration and trims are confirmed at sampling — so bulk matches the approved sample instead of drifting.
The workflow removes the usual sampling mistakes: tech-pack review, fabric and fit direction, a 3D sample within 3 days, a physical and pre-production (PP) sample for sign-off, then bulk production with retail-level QC and DDP express, air or sea freight.
Fabric & material options
Fleece & terry 280–480 GSM
French terry and brushed fleece for premium sweat shorts with a soft, dense handfeel.
Woven cotton
Twill, ripstop and canvas for chino, cargo and workwear shorts with structure.
Performance & mesh
Polyester, mesh and quick-dry fabrics for active, basketball and training shorts.
Fibre & blends
100% cotton, cotton/poly and cotton/poly/spandex, with combed, ring-spun or organic options.
Fit & construction
We build regular, relaxed, slim and oversized shorts in a range of inseam lengths, with full pattern grading across the size range so every size keeps the intended proportion. Construction is where retail quality shows:
- Waistband: ribbed or self-fabric, with elastic, drawcord and custom tips, or fixed waist with belt loops.
- Pockets: side seam, zip, cargo, welt or hidden pocket constructions.
- Inseam: short, mid and longline options to your spec.
- Hem: double-needle, raw, rolled or elastic-cuff finishes.
- Lining & finishing: optional mesh liner, shrinkage control and a soft wash.
Decoration & trims
Decoration is matched to your artwork, fabric and wash so it survives production and wear: screen print, puff and 3D puff print, high-density and water-based print, embroidery, appliqué, patches and woven detailing. Trims include custom drawcords and tips, zippers, woven main labels, printed care labels and hangtags.

What is your MOQ for custom shorts?
MOQ starts from 50 pcs per style. The exact minimum depends on fabric, number of colourways, decoration method and trims. Colour and size splits are available on most shorts programs.
Can you match a reference pair of shorts?
Yes. Send a reference sample or tech pack and we develop fabric, fit, waistband, inseam and pocket construction and decoration to match your target, then confirm it on a physical and PP sample before bulk.
What fabrics can you produce shorts in?
French terry and brushed fleece for sweat shorts, twill, ripstop and canvas for woven shorts, and polyester or mesh for active shorts, with a range of blends and washes.
Is the sample fee refundable?
The sample fee is deductible from your first bulk order, so sampling stays focused on real production rather than free-sample requests.
How long does production take?
A 3D sample is typically ready within 3 days when the project is clear. Bulk production usually runs 7–15 days after pre-production sample approval, depending on fabric, decoration and quantity.
